On Our Backs Announces New Frequency, New Look

San Francisco, CA: The preeminent lesbian sex magazine On Our Backs will relaunch as a quarterly in Spring 2005, complete with a new tagline "Adventures in Lesbian Sex." With color photography, fresh features, and new departments, the new On Our Backs will emphasize its identity as the first and only cutting-edge magazine about lesbian sexuality.

"Our new tagline harkens back to the early, radical days of the magazine," says editor Diana Cage. "On Our Backs blew women’s minds when it first appeared on the scene in 1984, and we intend to do that all over again with this relaunch."

The magazine intends to publish its nude centerfold in color, as well as add several new features, including literary-quality fiction, pictorials from the magazines archives, and an expanded advice section featuring a stable of well-known experts.

"On Our Backs has an impressive publishing history and we intend to continue in that tradition by bringing readers the brightest new voices in queer literature," adds Cage.

The Spring issue of On Our Backs is themed "Sex and the Single Girl," and the cover story will feature Sirius radio’s outspoken shock-jock Romaine Patterson.
